Doug was wonderful to work with on many levels. No matter the size, scope or complexity of the project, he always displayed a great sense of passion and overall creative thinking. Doug became Site Manager of the Portland, Maine office at a most unfavorable time. After losing our largest client (end of contract), he had the difficult challenge of taking over a shop that was almost certainly on the decline. He came in to a tight knit group that had been working together for 3, 4 even 5 years together for this particular client. He not only took the challenge head on, but also made a valiant effort to bring in new clients and had much success in doing so. During his time as Site Manager, Doug was demanding but fair. With more than half a year remaining on the contact, he kept an unfamiliar workload and workforce going in a very positive and productive manner, which kept our client very happy to say the least. All this in a time when it would be just as easy to let quality and commitment slip. (Especially having no prior ties to this particular client.) His leadership and dedication really shined, which showed me as well as my fellow coworkers what kind of manager Doug was/is.
